Check the correct cashier tab
Betfair separates Popular routes from Other Methods in the deposit screen. Its help says that the Other Methods tab only adds payment routes available in the customer’s country. A method mentioned in a general help article is not proof that every Irish account can use it.
Check deposit and withdrawal separately
A payment can be available for a deposit but absent from withdrawals, or the other way around. Betfair’s withdrawal instructions say a grey withdrawal button indicates that the route is not available for the current transaction. Open the screen for the direction you intend to use before selecting an alternative.
Check saved card and account details
Betfair says cards may fail to add when the number is entered incorrectly, the card is already associated with another account or it is registered to a company. Its card guide also caps the saved debit cards at three. The method must belong to the Betfair account holder.
Use the cashier’s own payment details
Where a method is available, Betfair shows its minimum deposit, processing information and applicable fee in the cashier. A static third-party list can be out of date or describe a different country. Use the account screen for the exact option and limits rather than inferring availability from another market.
